Biography & Pure profile
Jim is one of the UK’s most recorded saxophonists as well as being an in-demand producer/composer/mixer and educator. He currently runs Knight Time Studios in Stoke Newington, London.
He is currently visiting Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music.
His credits as a Saxophone player range from Kylie to Bublé, Gary Barlow to Mr Scruff, Mark Knight to Leona Lewis, Corrine Baily Rae to Scissor Sisters and everyone in-between.
Jim is also a multi award-winning commercial composer with numerous adverts and thousands of placements on TV all over the world, working with BMG, Universal, Sony Music, Extreme Music and many others.
As a producer/engineer/mixer Jim has worked with (among many others) RutsDC, The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Pixie Lott, Eliza Hull, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Ainslie Wills. He is also heavily involved in UK Jazz scene working with artists such as Sultan Stevenson (gaining a Parliamentary Jazz Award for his debut), Anmol Mohara, Saiga Tracks, Flo Blue, St. Barbe, Sam Knight, Maria Rehakov, the list goes on.
