Performing/Recording credits for songwriter, producer, keys man, vocalist and recording artist Oli Rockberger include: Carly Simon, John Mayer, Chaka Khan, Steve Gadd, Becca Stevens, Steve Jordan, Louis Cole, Coldplay, Jules Buckley & The BBC Concert Orchestra as a featured artist (BBC Radio 2’s “Friday Night is Music Night: The Beatles Orchestrated” live from Abbey Road), and Laura Mvula, as a member of her touring band for keys/vox across her last few releases (Oli is a featured vocalist on Mvula’s acclaimed “Pink Noise”).
A published songwriter represented by Faber Alt, collaborations include work with an eclectic range of artists in the space between alt/indie, soul and jazz, including: Jordan Rakei, Hiromi, Richard Spaven, Brave James, Shaun Escoffery, Randy Brecker, China Moses, Gareth Malone (with whom Oli worked as “Songwriting Consultant” for BBC2’s ‘The Choir: Singing for Britain’ during the COVID-19 pandemic), and with Gregory Porter/Troy Miller as a co-writer of lead single “Revival Song” from Porter’s ‘21 Grammy-nominated album ‘All Rise’.
Current activities include gearing up to the release of a 5th solo album (co-produced with Chris Hyson), writing with others, and work on an educational book project exploring songwriting and creative collaboration. An experienced music educator, Oli's mentorship encompasses artistic development, songwriting, collaboration and performance across 1-1, ensemble and group settings.
