Paul Stevens studied with John Harle at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and graduated with a First Class degree.

Paul has had an extremely successful and varied career as a Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist and has had the pleasure of performing all around the world in venues including Carnegie Hall, The Lincoln Centre, Orchard Hall (Tokyo), Theatre des Champs, Esplanade (Singapore), the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican and the Festival Hall.

He has played and recorded with many orchestras and ensembles including the LSO, Philharmonia, LPO, City of London Sinfonia, London Sinfonietta, Britten Sinfonia, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Saxophonic and Quartz Saxophone Quartet.

Paul has worked and recorded with many artists including Elton John, Katie Melia and Damon Albarn and has recorded the sound tracks for many Film Scores including the Oscar Nominated Film Score of Mr. Turner where he was a featured player, Monuments Men, Fantasia 2000, and Goya’s Ghost.

He has held chairs on many West End Shows including Aladdin, Kinky Boots, High Society, Sleepless, Urinetown, A Chorus Line, Shrek, Sister Act, Spamalot, Billy Elliot, Jerry Springer the Opera, My One and Only, Merrily We Roll Along, Maddie and Candide.

Paul is a hugely versatile musician and has performed in virtually all idioms of music.

He has played with many Big Bands, Brass ensembles, Saxophone ensembles, Orchestras, Jazz groups, military bands, function bands and played on many Recording Sessions

Paul has been teaching the Saxophone for nearly 30 years and has held jobs at Reeds School (16 years) and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama junior department (14 Years). He has coached many ensembles and wind sections and has been the assessor for many competitions and Recitals.

Paul has been teaching Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute at Guildhall School of Music & Drama for 12 Years.
