Biography & Pure profile
Qinke Li is a Production & Design Tutor at Guildhall School, where she provides specialist teaching, curriculum development and pastoral support, with a particular focus on supporting international students across the Music and Production & Design departments.
An internationally experienced educator and practitioner, Qinke brings perspectives shaped by her training and professional experience across Taiwan, China, and the UK. Specialising in lighting design and interdisciplinary performance, she helps students develop both technical expertise and the creative adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global industry.
Qinke holds a BFA in Lighting Design from the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, where she graduated with top honours and received the Graduate Academic Excellence Award, and an MA in Performance and Culture: Interdisciplinary Perspectives from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her work explores cross-cultural approaches to technical production training, collaborative practice and inclusive learning.
Alongside her teaching, Qinke leads the research project A Practice-Based Research Programme: Cross-Cultural Pedagogical Frameworks and Collaborative Identity in Technical Production Arts, a key initiative linked to the Guildhall De-Centre. Through her teaching and research, she is committed to preparing the next generation of globally connected theatre-makers and creative collaborators.
