Biography & Pure profile
What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?
One of my highlights at Guildhall so far was being the lighting designer for our end-of-year festival. This is because it had many elements, such as the production arts exhibition, the final year actors ‘The Making of Us’ project and a cabaret night. We prepared each event with little time, and it taught me a great deal about working quickly and efficiently but also taking care and being patient with the process.
What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?
Guildhall has taught me not only technical knowledge for my craft but also the soft skills needed to manage and work as part of a team, which I believe is essential in our industry. My time here has also taught me lots of basic skills in a wide range of varied departments, which I believe will help me in my career once I graduate.
What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
Once I graduate, I would love to work as a lighting designer, associate, assistant and programmer in theatre and television. I believe that both the theatre and television industries have their differences, but also many similarities, and I hope to expand my skills to be able to work in both.
