Biography & Pure profile
What’s been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?
Being at Guildhall has given we a wide range of experiences across Opera, Drama, Dance, fashion and even exhibitions. However, a highlight for me was working on Mansfield Park. This gave me the opportunity to create period pieces and understand how to develop a period silhouette and style, making it work well for a performer and within a show. I really enjoy working with historical costumes and would love the opportunity to carry this forward after I graduate.
What’s been your highlight in the industry?
I had the amazing opportunity to complete work experience with The Bridge Theatre, working on their revival of A Midsummer Night's Dream. This was a highlight for me as I got to see the process a supervisor goes through in the early stage of a revival show and how set up a space for fittings and begin the process of sourcing costumes. I also got the opportunity to go to their store and help pull costumes and find previous costumes used before in the show. This was amazing as it was my first experience of a revival show.
What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
I am most interested in working towards being a costume supervisor. I really enjoy working alongside creative teams and getting the opportunity to see the development of a show and help to support that. I would love to gain experience as a costume assistant and work within musical theatre and opera. I especially love period pieces and would to work within this.
