Guildhall Jazz Festival x EFG London Jazz Festival: Hatchling
Molly Davies presents an exploration of the work of award-winning bassist and composer and Berklee College professor Linda May Han Oh, featuring Jamie Harms, Alex Bishop, Edouard le Feuvre and Theo Hayhurst.
Performing repertoire taken from across various records, primarily Oh's latest release, The Glass Hours (featuring Mark Turner, Sara Serpa, Fabian Almazan and Obed Clavier) and 2017's Walk Against The Wind (Ben Wendel, Matthew Stevens, Justin Brown, Fabian Almazan and Minji Park), this project considers the position of the artist and the challenges that she faces in her journey, from the transient nature of time to the complexity of being an individual working to belong.
Part of the School’s annual Jazz Festival, presented in partnership with EFG London Jazz Festival, celebrating the creativity and originality of the Guildhall Jazz community.
