Guildhall Jazz Festival x EFG London Jazz Festival: Novos Londrinos

Novos Londrinos are a Brazilian-inspired band based in North London. Cláudia, Jackson, Jonny, Gio and Rachel were brought together by their love of bossa nova, samba and MPB.

Since first meeting when playing in the samba band Rhythms of the City, they’ve been writing their own original songs as well as arrangements of Brazilian classics. Channelling the music of legends like Tom Jobim, Elis Regina, Marcos Valle, Gilberto Gil and Sérgio Mendes, their sets are packed with infectious grooves and soulful vocals.

They’ve been gigging regularly across London in established venues like The Jago, Doña, Grow Hackney, and MAP Cafe and recorded their debut EP at Giant Wafer and Abbey Road studios in 2024 (including Guildhall tutor Inês Loubet on backing vocals). In 2025, the group took their vibrant Brazilian sound to Glastonbury Festival, marking a major milestone in their journey.

Part of the School’s annual Jazz Festival, presented in partnership with EFG London Jazz Festival, celebrating the creativity and originality of the Guildhall Jazz community.

Event ends approx. 7.40pm

Free, no tickets required
