Junior Guildhall’s Symphony Orchestra and String Ensemble present a vibrant programme spanning the 20th-century orchestral repertoire, from the intensity of Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony for String Orchestra to the luminous colour of Respighi’s Pines of Rome. Music by Grace Williams and Lili Boulanger completes an evening celebrating imagination, lyricism and the distinctive voices of the last century. 

The concert is conducted by Julian Clayton and Peggy Wu, showcasing the artistry and ambition of Junior Guildhall’s outstanding young musicians.

Milton Court, based across the road from our Silk Street building, provides the School with world-class performance and training spaces, including a state of the art concert hall, a lyric theatre, a studio theatre and several major rehearsal rooms.
