Event information

During the autumn and spring terms, students from the piano and electronic music departments undertook a collaborative, practice-led project centred on the development of new work. This performance marks the culmination of that process, presenting original compositions for piano, prepared piano, and electronics that explore extended techniques, timbral experimentation, and the integration of acoustic and electronic media.

The programme situates these student works alongside 'Breath Box', a collaborative piece by pianist Eliza McCarthy (Mica Levi, John Adams, Jonny Greenwood, James McVinnie, Crash Ensemble) and electronic musician Jo Wills (Old Man Diode, WW Music), offering a broader context for current approaches to contemporary performance and electronic music practice.
