Guildhall's boundary-pushing Ubu Ensemble, directed by Simon Wills, joins forces with the Guildhall Percussion Ensemble for a powerful evening of rhythm and resonance.
Heiner Goebbels’ Suite from Surrogate Cities is a bold, cinematic work reimagined for sampler and ensemble, evoking the pulse and poetry of the modern metropolis. Paired with Steve Reich’s Drumming, a hypnotic tour de force of interlocking patterns and percussive drive, this programme immerses you in two visionary sound worlds where urban energy and musical innovation collide.
