Highlight of Guildhall 

One of my highlights during my time at Guildhall has been working on Mansfield Park during the spring term. I enjoyed being able to use my scenic carpentry skills to bring the house of Mansfield Park to life. I was able to work within a great team and learn more about building structural scenery and welding, whilst working within a fast paced environment.    

Highlight of Industry 

I have been incredibly fortunate to work as a freelance scenic artist at Illusion Design & construct to work on Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical by Secret Cinema. I was able to work alongside other professionals and gain experience in working on large scale projects. I enjoyed working on signage and the car booths which helped me build confidence in my own skills.  

Other passions and projects at Guildhall 

During my time at Guildhall I have been able to work within the lighting team, which has helped me explore new skills to bring into my own work. I have found an interest for set electrics and being able to bring interactive lighting effects into my own projects. For my self-directed study, I designed and created a Star Wars-inspired tactical display screen, which included an engraved Perspex LED screen - from which I learned about LED tape.    

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

After graduation, I would love to work as a scenic carpenter, where I can follow my passion for building and creating. I am open to all opportunities that come my way, working in all sorts of areas such as Theatre, Film, Immersive Experiences, Theming and Live Events .
