About the Music Course

Our hands-on music course for ages 11-18, will offer a full programme of music making and creativity. Students will be given an individually tailored morning of activities and will play in three ensembles, which will cover multiple genres and styles at an appropriate level. Students will gain valuable experience playing as an orchestra each week, whilst smaller ensembles will develop technique and more contemporary styles appropriate to an instrument. Classes will also be offered in music technology and production.

Perfect for beginners, those who simply want to spend a few hours making music with newfound friends or are thinking about taking their passion for music a step further. You will be offered a tailor-made timetable before you start, based on your interests and experience stated on your enrolment form. This will be updated as you progress and develop your creative interests.

Music students will come together with drama and production arts students to create innovative performances. These will be staged at the centre and other arts venues. Visits from Guildhall School music students and tutors will give students the opportunity to further develop their skills and ask any questions they might have.
