Late Applications

Late applications will only be considered for programmes/pathways where we have audition spaces available. We cannot guarantee that late applications will be accepted as many programmes are oversubscribed.

Please note: candidates who make a late application will be offered a recorded audition only – candidates will not be able to attend a live audition at the School.

After official deadlines have passed, we will close applications for programmes/disciplines as they become full. As a result, any late application you commence may be deleted at any time. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all late applications are completed in full as soon as possible after the deadline.

Late Application Fees 

There is no additional late application fee. Find more information about our application fees here.  

Departments/pathways now closed for September 2023 entry 

  • All classical composition programmes, except the MA in Opera Making and Writing 
  • All classical guitar programmes
  • All opera and joint opera/vocal applications (note: vocal only applications remain open)
  • Some jazz pathways, including:
    • piano, drums and percussion (undergraduate and postgraduate)
    • composition and arranging (undergraduate and postgraduate)
    • voice (postgraduate only)
    • bass (undergraduate only)
  • Music Therapy
  • All bowed strings programmes (violin, viola, cello and double bass)
  • All piano programmes (note: Piano Accompaniment remains open for late applications).
