Biography

Stella grew up in a musical family and enjoyed playing flute and piano from an early age in local music groups and orchestras, as well as participating in local Music Festivals. Stella studied with Wanda Jeziorska and achieved her Licentiateships in Piano Performing and Teaching from Trinity College of Music, London, a PGCE in Music Education from Edgehill University, and now runs a busy music teaching practice.

Stella is a qualified Teaching Partner with The Da Capo Music Foundation and has taught musicianship classes for children from age 3 in various Norwich and Lowestoft schools (funded by Youth Music) as well as running private groups. A passionate music educator, she has the Foundation Award from The Dalcroze Society (UK) and has held Director of Music posts in Suffolk, West London and South East London schools. Stella has also been a tutor for Sistema, Norwich.

For 10 years she coordinated the Gorleston St Andrews Festival, an annual competitive festival for amateur instrumentalists and singers, extending the range of classes and its Outreach programme.

Stella also enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family, who are also musicians, and her cat (who is not)!
