What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?
Working on Opera Triple Bill as a team in the paintshop, with the speakers blaring, painting away, is one of my highlights of working at Guildhall. Also, stepping back from a fit up to see the complete set, is always a highlight and a fantastic feeling of accomplishment.
What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?
I have learnt that it always pays off to be a perfectionist – strive to get every last detail done, leave nothing behind. Another thing is, never assume what a designer is looking for – have a strong line of communication with them and look for questions.
What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
I am most interested in working as a scenic artist for film, painting murals and finer work. I am also interested however in smaller theatre companies and what opportunities there are for painters/makers – combined creative roles.
