Biography

Annemette Verspeak holds a BA in Linguistics and Communication, an MA in Voice Studies, two further singing qualifications from Scandinavia and an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Leadership, Life and Business Coaching.

She has taught voice and singing at several schools including Birmingham School of Acting, Drama Centre, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Thopps Kleinkunst school in Amsterdam.

She has also worked at the Royal Opera House, The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Shared Experience and on many independent shows. Her work outside theatre ranges from directing Google Voice Search since 2013 to working with Afghan women in Kabul on empowerment through voice in 2008. The latter project was translated into a theatre piece directed by Dinah Stabb and shown at Reel Afghanistan, an Afghan arts festival in Scotland.
