Biography

Sarah-Jane studied music with the Open University and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Performance Teaching from Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She also has teaching diplomas from the ABRSM for both singing and piano.

Sarah-Jane has been teaching piano and singing in schools and at home for many years and she also runs various choirs including a large community choir called Sing4Fun in Minehead.

Sarah-Jane is a past member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and In 2016 she co-founded Fusion Young Performers in Minehead, which develops theatre, dance and music for young performers up to age 25. As a theatre Director, she has directed large scale amateur productions including Les Miserables and West Side Story as well as various pantomimes and plays.

Her last performing role was as the mad Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd in which she had to behave very badly, sing very high and end up covered in fake blood, which was great fun.

Sarah-Jane is thoroughly enjoying teaching singing, piano and drama at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton where she runs several drama workshops and singing ensembles for a variety of age-groups in addition to providing individual tuition in singing and piano. Sarah-Jane is the Deputy Designated Lead at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton.
