Day Four
The Eight Days of Christmas highlights students and alumni whose education has been supported by a scholarship. From now until noon on 9 December, the Big Give is doubling every online donation until we reach our goal.
Your generosity creates next year’s scholarships, inspiring the new stories that come with them.
Day Four
Formed in 1994 as Guildhall students, the Quartz Saxophone Quartet unites four of the UK’s leading saxophonists – three of whom now teach at the School.
The Quartet has shaped the saxophone scene for over three decades, performing extensively throughout the UK and Ireland. Their repertoire is energetic, creative and boundary pushing – delighting audiences and inspiring young musicians.
Earlier this term, Quartz Saxophone Quartet returned to Guildhall School to launch their new CD with Deux-Elles Classical Recordings: Sweet Dusk. The programme blended performances by Quartz with collaborations with current Guildhall saxophone students, creating a vibrant intergenerational event.
