About Acting Summer Course for Ages 8-11

This new five-day course invites 8–11-year-olds into a world of playful storytelling where collaboration and imagination take centre stage. Who is the course for?

Anyone aged 8 to 11 who is curious about acting and theatre. No prior experience is required.

What can I expect?

Participants will work in a group of up to 16, guided by professional actors in a range of practical, workshop-based sessions. Areas of focus will include:

  • Voice
  • Movement
  • Drama games
  • Improvisation
  • Text work

There will be a small amount of preparation ahead of the course.

The week will conclude with a short, informal sharing of work for parents/guardians. Rather than a traditional ‘show’, it is an opportunity see the creative process in short sections of work.
