Biography

Pamela studied piano solo and accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, spent a year at the National Opera Studio, and has an undergraduate degree in the Humanities and a MA in Education. She performed and recorded with both singers and instrumentalists; chose, edited and recorded piano syllabuses for two examination boards; and for some years was editor of Piano Professional magazine. Her love for text and context has led her to specialise in vocal accompaniment and she coaches many of the pianists in this art at the Guildhall School, where she is currently Deputy Head of Keyboard Studies.
