Guildhall Coaching & Mentoring

Guildhall Coaching & Mentoring

Coaching is a professional development tool for individuals or groups working together in an organisation or independently. Through discussion, challenge and support, Coaching offers an opportunity for the professional to bridge the gap between their current performance and their potential.

Pure mentoring differs from coaching, it usually implies a role that includes sharing relevant experience and professional knowledge or expertise. In most other aspects, the two roles are similar.

Coaching & Mentoring Courses

The Guildhall Coaching & Mentoring training programme aligns with our ethos as a world class performing arts institution; to support, challenge and inspire growth. We combine the rigour of academic teaching with the equally important practical component to offer a fully rounded learning experience. We offer a wide range of courses for leaders, managers and Executive Coaching. Our courses are accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and offered throughout the year.

Leaders on Stage

Why develop non-musical leadership skills?

The role of a principal musician has evolved and expanded over the past 20 years and particularly in the area of non-musical leadership. Principal players in the 21st century have a hugely demanding role, they are expected to model the highest standards of playing whilst also leading their sections both on and off the stage. There has so far been little additional training to support them in developing the non-musical leadership skills needed to do this with mastery.

We want every player on the stage to be and to feel at their best in those moments when it matters most. Leaders on Stage offers a radical new approach to this challenge.

Coaching Associates

Our Associate team of Executive Coaches provides Coaching and Leadership support to those working across a broad range of industries including Education, the Arts and Charities sectors. We have experience in supporting world-class Conductors, CEOs, Olympic Teams, Members of Parliament, Head Teachers, Leadership Teams and Departments in Higher Education.

We are currently recruiting for new Guildhall Coaching Associates, for more information please see here.

“The trainers are hugely inspirational. They support you to enhance your strengths but also to develop & grow your mind.”

Coaching Services

Coaching is primarily about change. Our Coaches support clients in identifying the changes they want to make in ways that increase motivation and energy and build both resourcefulness and capability. Drawing on information from human psychology, Guildhall Associates can help unlock your talent to reach your goals.
