What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

The highlight of my time at Guildhall so far, has been working as the assistant carpenter for the Opera Triple Bill 2020. I relished the opportunity to gain experience in an area of theatre that was new to me; and in doing so it has inspired me to pursue set construction beyond my time at Guildhall,

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?

I have enjoyed the experience I've had with technical management: discovering the methods of rigging and how to do so safely; how it applies to not only theatre, but arena events and the film industry, amongst others. I discovered scenic automation when joining Guildhall, which I find to be an exciting balance between the entertainment industry and my previous training in electrical engineering.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

When I leave Guildhall I would like to further my training in both rigging and construction. I find these skills complement each other very well, and I'm keen to gain more knowledge in both. I would like to find professional work in these areas in the years to come.
