Biography

In 2012 Emily achieved MPerf from the Royal College of Music as a Bassoon Scholar in Orchestral Performance.

Previously Emily had achieved BMus in Music Performance from the Royal College of Music during which course she studied at Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse, Lyon for 3 months under Professor Carlo Columbo as part of an Erasmus Exchange. Whilst at music college Emily’s professors were Sarah Burnett, Andrea Di Flammineis & Martin Gatt.

Since 2007 Emily has worked regularly with the BBC including Tiddly Prom tours around South Wales for under 5s, and a week of performances at St David’s Hall with the Arts Active company, as part of the BBC Welsh Proms season.

Following on from the successful Tiddly Proms, in 2018 Emily launched Tiddlygigs, a concert series for under 5s in Taunton, Somerset, where Emily now lives and works.

At GYA Taunton, Emily teaches bassoon, piano and theory of music as well as Music Starts Here, which is a weekly workshop for the youngest children at the centre aged 5 to 7.
