She also played with Southampton City Orchestra and Southampton Concert Orchestra.

Carolyn, who is originally from Taunton, returned to Somerset in 2015 and started Tone Woodwind tuition.  Through this she teaches at many establishments including Primary, Secondary, and 6th Form, and has a number of adult pupils. Carolyn conducts the UnPhilharmonic Orchestra, part of The Brewhouse Theatre’s Take Part scheme, which brings together adult musicians of all abilities to enjoy making music on a regular basis.

Carolyn loves her work with GYA Taunton teaching woodwinds and directing GYAT Orchestra, and she enjoys developing the musical lives of all of the pupils she teaches. Both of her children also attend GYA Taunton and are excited to get out of bed to go there each Saturday morning!
