About the Summer Holiday Course: Music & Drama
A fun action-filled week for 10-18 years, packed full of music and drama workshops.
With sessions in rock, pop, musical theatre, classical and jazz, music production, DJ-ing, song-writing, singing, acting, script work, devising and improvisation, our summer holiday course is a great way to develop skills in the performing arts.
The course will be tailored around individual interests specified on the booking form. There will be breakout sessions for art & design, board games and chess, magic, as well as sports such as football, basketball and cricket.
Taking place at Richard Huish College, Taunton, we’ll have access to their facilities including their Mac suite for LogicPro tuition in music production.
A full Gamelan Orchestra will be in place for the week and we'll have a visit from HM Band of the Royal Marines for music students to experience a side-by-side rehearsal and performance.
Actors will have two professional theatre directors teaching on the course and students are welcome to bring audition pieces or specific plays they are keen to develop.
The course will culminate in a performance on Friday afternoon and promises to be a fun week to remember, inspire and make new friends.
Fees are £340 per student, due before 1 August. Places are confirmed when a deposit of £100 has been paid, with the balance of fees due before 1 August.
Bursaries are available so please let us know if you are interested in applying for a bursary. These are means-tested and will enable students to have some or all of their course fees paid for. Please refer to our finance and funding page for more information.
