Guildhall alumni and students win at the 2020 Off West End Theatre Awards

Congratulations to alumna Marina Bye (Acting 2015) and the Guildhall actors and creatives involved in 'All the Little Lights'.
The winners of the annual Off-West End Awards, also known as the Offies, have been revealed.
Alumna Marina Bye (Acting 2015) won Best Supporting Female in a Play for her performance in The Lady from the Sea at the Coronet Theatre.
The ‘OffFest Award for Best Production at Camden Fringe Festival 2019’ went to All The Little Lights at the Tristan Bates Theatre.
This production of Jane Upton's play grew out of a CoLABorate project within the School, which provides the opportunity for Guildhall School students to create their own cross-arts work. The production featured a cast of three final-year actors, Emily Fairn, Lucy Mabbitt and Erin Mullen, and the creative and production team featured Eric Fabrizi as Composer, Andras Jacobs as Costume Designer and Alex Hobbs as Technical Stage Manager.
Since graduating in 2015, Marina Bye has teamed up with her sister Maddie to create three sell-out comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as making their debut run at the Soho Theatre and the Vaults.
The finalists in this year's awards also featured Kalungi Ssebandeke (Acting 2019), nominated for Male Performance in a Play for his performance in Blood Knot at the Orange Tree Theatre, and Cora Bissett's What Girls Are Made Of, directed by Vice-Principal and Director of Drama Orla O'Loughlin, nominated for 'Performance Piece' for its run at the Soho Theatre.
