Biography

Before taking up his current positions in the UK (RNCM, RBC, Chethams’ School of Music and Junior Guildhall), Sebastian served on the violin faculty of the Hanover Music Conservatoire. He is widely recognised for his students achieving technical excellence, his teaching being rooted in concepts of physical economy in combination with elements of the great Galamian tradition of violin playing. Sebastian trained with Pinchas Zukerman, Renaud Capuçon, Stephan Picard and Detlef Hahn and studied at the Berlin (Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule), London (Guildhall School of Music & Drama), Amsterdam and Hanover Conservatoires.   Sebastian’s extensive performance career has seen him perform major violin concertos and core recital repertoire in Europe, USA, South America and Russia. He plays on a violin by Stephan Peter Greiner.
