About

Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) provides high-quality progressive music training with a range of performance opportunities for more than four-hundred 5 – 18 year-olds.

With a minimum of one year learning an instrument recommended to join and no costs required to audition, CYM is a great place for young musicians at the start of their musical journey, in addition to more accomplished musicians wanting to further their training.

Based at Morley College in London Waterloo, young musicians can develop their creativity and access high-quality training with top practitioners and industry professionals, across a variety of styles and genres.

Whilst many students go on to careers in music, all participants benefit from the skills gained in the vibrant, inclusive and relaxed environment that CYM provides.

Students follow an individual programme of classes across a range of genres from classical to jazz, composing and songwriting to musical theatre every Saturday term-time.

CYM is part of Guildhall School’s network of centres across the country, providing inspiring performing arts training for children and young people.
