Biography & Pure profile
Specialist Area: Set and Costume Designer
What's been your highlight in the industry?
I’m proud to have been on the shortlist for the 2021 Linbury Prize. I also recently designed a window for kiltmakers MacGregor and MacDuff for their Bath Street flagship store in Glasgow.
My works have included musicals, plays and touring productions. Previous works include; The Pajama Game (2020, New Atheneum Theatre), How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found (2020, Blytheswood Hall), Why the Whales Came (2021 BYMT, Plymouth Theatre Royal), The Fairy who Fell off the Christmas Tree (2021, East Riding Theatre, SHE Productions tour), Sleeping Beauty (2021 Shared Experience tour), Drag Baby (2022, Kings Head Theatre), Flightpath (2022, Brockley Jack Theatre).
Upcoming projects include The Whispering Jungle (2022, Hull Truck and Leeds Playhouse tour, Concrete Youth), Why the Whales Came (2022 Tour, Taunton Brewhouse and Mountview), The Last Two (Seven Dials Playhouse), A Christmas Carol (Leeds Conservatoire).
What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?
I worked on projects at Guildhall including Georgie and Gadget (2022, Little Angel Theatre collaboration), and Residue (2021, Milton Court Studio theatre). I enjoyed exploring puppetry in my work, alongside sustainability as a core factor in my practice.
What area are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
I want to continue pushing for sustainability in the theatre I create, alongside working collaboratively with directors and creative teams to bring text to life and create magic on stage. I’m a passionate advocate for neurodiversity in theatre and bringing accessibility to the table, so would like to bring some of that into my practice too.
