Student Welfare

Three girls sit on a bench. From left to right: One wears a black cardigan, one wears a green jacket and the other wears a grey jumper. A red instrument case stands propped up against the bench in the middle of them.

Safeguarding

All Junior Guildhall staff are subject to safe recruitment processes which include Enhanced DBS checks. Staff are required to undertake regular safeguarding training which is part of our safeguarding culture at Junior Guildhall.  We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team and you can contact our Head of Safeguarding, Hetsie van Rooyen if you would like any information on pastoral or safeguarding support.

Please note that the School does not provide supervision of children when they are not attending a timetabled activity. However, parents are welcome on the premises on Saturdays.

Further details can be found in our Safeguarding Policy, which you can access here or download below.

The well-being of our students is a prerequisite for their success and there may be times when they will need help or advice. The Head of Junior Guildhall and the Head of Junior Music Courses, welcome discussion on progress or careers advice. In addition, there are three heads of department and ten coordinators to oversee the students’ studies and help cater for their individual needs.
