Marios Aristopoulos's new book The Game Music Toolbox (published by Routledge) explores a range of composition techniques behind the music of iconic video games of the past. In this presentation he will discuss some of the interactive music techniques behind Mario Kart 8, Alien Isolation, Tomb Raider, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Last of Us.

Dr Aristopoulos, Department of Electronic and Produced Music (Guildhall School), is a composer and sound designer working in video games and new media. He has been a Sundance Institute fellow and a Baryshnikov Arts Center resident in New York. His generative score for the game Apotheon was on the top 10 PlayStation soundtracks of 2016 and was performed during the Special Olympics Flame Ceremony in Athens.
