Book your place to join Guildhall Young Artists Norwich for an exciting Open Day taking place at their new home, Wymondham High Academy, Norwich.
Come and meet tutors and other students, enjoy live performances and interactive workshops, and explore the top of the range facilities on offer at the school including drama studios, percussion room and a professional recording studio.
Taster sessions, open classes and Q&As will give you a real flavour of what to expect from our vibrant Saturday centre. Take a look at the full schedule below.
Guildhall Young Artists Norwich is part of Guildhall School’s network of centres across the country, providing inspiring performing and production arts training for children and young people aged 4–18.

09:00 – 09:30 Open Classes / Rehearsals / Tours
• Chamber Choir (Hall) – Advanced level (audience welcome)
• Music Discovery Workshop (Library) – Beginner, ages 8–11 (runs until 09:40)

• Advanced Jazz (Canteen) – Advanced level (runs until 10:30, audience welcome)
• Choir (Hall) – Any age or ability (audience welcome)
• Music Starts Here Workshop (Library) – Beginner, ages 3–4 (09:45–10:30)
• Drama Discovery Workshop (Meet in reception) – Beginner, ages 8–11 (09:45–10:20)

• Fusion Band Workshop (Meet in reception) – Any age, ability, or instrument
• Tour of Centre – Meet in reception (includes String Quartets)

• Jazz Band (Canteen) – Intermediate–Advanced level (audience welcome)
• Advanced String Chamber Music (Hall) – Advanced, bowed strings

• Musical Theatre Workshop (Meet in reception) – Beginner–Intermediate, ages 8+
• Improv Band Workshop (Meet in reception) – Any age, ability, or instrument

• A short informal concert by senior London students from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. All welcome.

• Intermediate–Advanced Strings (Hall) – Any bowed string instrument (audience welcome)
• Drama Starts Here Workshop (Library) – Beginner, ages 5–7
• Acting for Stage (Meet in reception) – Intermediate–Advanced drama, ages 11+
• Percussion Workshop (Meet in reception) – Any age, ability, or instrument
• Musicianship Workshop (Meet in reception) – Beginner–Intermediate, ages 8–11 (any instrument)

• An informal chance to meet Thomas Shelbourn (Head of GYA Norwich), the Deputy Head of GYA Norwich, and the Deputy Director of Guildhall Young Artists. Refreshments will be available.

• Music Theory & Professional Skills (Canteen) – Advanced, any instrument (with Guildhall senior students and industry professionals)
