Protest by PACE
It all made sense in the beginning...
Explore the timeless themes of protest in this original interactive performance experience devised by Guildhall School Performance and Creative Enterprise (PACE) students.
Watch, engage and perceive as the evening unfolds, as 10 multi-disciplinary artists take you on a journey through solo and collaborative performances exploring both sides of Protest. Observe as the walls of Beaconsfield Gallery Vauxhall interrogate your beliefs and displace your autonomy.
Immerse yourself in the immortal subject of Protest through the mediums of music, dance, theatre, live film, rap and poetry: where your identity is examined and your morals put to the test.
Be prepared to probe the taboo and scrutinise the opposition. Do you really know what you are capable of? Do you know what you stand for? How far are you willing to go for a taste of glory at the expense of others? Will you ever, really be free?
Rise with us as we unpick the injustice of those who are meant to protect us. Stand with us as we tackle the fundamental elements of society and unravel what it really means to exist in the 21st century.
The PACE Year 2 group is made up of emerging and established artists. From Spoken Word, Rap, Experimental Music & Theatre, their performance experience ranges from The National Theatre, Electric Ballroom and The Tabernacle.
Participating Artists: Humble Demi, Louie Le Vack, Maedb Joy, Poetess Jess, Kookie Pops, Nikki Demajo Albanese, Tha Reme, Noah Dunbar, Rosie Webb, Rebekah Davies.
