Caroline joined the Production Arts department at Guildhall School as a Stage Management Lecturer following a high profile career as Senior Stage Manager at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, where she worked for over 20 years.

Caroline, originally from London, trained in Stage Management at the Houston Grand Opera in 1983 and has also completed the international tour of Complicité's The Encounter as Company Stage Manager. Caroline was also Production Stage Manager for Beyond the Score, the Chicago Symphony’s multi-media series created by Gerard McBurney, and continues this role touring Beyond the Score to orchestras around the world. Caroline has also worked at various other opera houses including the Royal Opera House,  Seattle Opera, Los Angeles Opera, and the San Francisco Opera.
